Blanket America at Minnie's Food Pantry

(March 24, 2010) Plano, Texas - Blanket America visited Minnie's Food Pantry in Plano, Texas to distribute blankets. Texas leads the nation with highest percentage of families who are food insecure. Minnie's Food Pantry is helping these families by providing free groceries with quality food. As a community-based organization committed to the elimination of hunger, Blanket America was excited excited to contribute to this shared goal.

Minnie's maintains connections between the food industry, churches, non-profit agencies, and citizens. As well-established connector of so many people, they were an ideal distribution outlet for our blankets. We found the staff to be warm, caring people.
