Blanket America Providing 80,000 Sheets to Haiti

(February 8, 2010) Port au Prince, Haiti - Blanket America has arranged to supply WorldVision with 80,000 sheets to aid earthquake victims in Haiti. Although Blanket America is a domestic initiative committed to ending poverty in the United States, the severity of the crisis in Haiti, its proximity to the United States, and the many Haitian-Americans with families abroad prompted us to take a special action.

Although linens may seem like a small part to rebuilding Haiti, meeting the immediate and basic needs of victims is extremely important as a first step and serves to make future initiatives more effective. We will post updates as we receive them.
