(May 18, 2010) New York, NY - Blanket America has been listening closely to what our customers tell us regarding what they want to buy, how they want to give, and where products should be made. In response, we've developed what we call The Perfect Pillow.

Blanket America Visits William D'Abate Elementary School in Rhode Island

(May 7, 2010) Providence, Rhode Island - This week, Blanket America visited William D'Abate Elementary School in Rhode Island to donate blankets. During the visit the students asked us challenging questions about our business model, other places in America where we have donated blankets, and our recent trip to Haiti. Over 80% of the children at D'Abate live below the poverty line and lack security of life's most basic necessities. Despite this fact, these incredible students raised $1500.00 for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.

Charity Begins at Home for Blanket America Founders

(April 25, 2010) Lakewood, New Jersey - Brooklyn, New York - At Blanket America we often say "charity begins at home" and we mean it! This week founders Mesh Gelman and Elizabeth Brown gave blankets to communities within their own neighborhoods. Gelman visited a "tent city" in Lakewood, New Jersey, near his home. Many Americans are surprised to discover these depression-era-like conditions (ramshackle tents without basics like plumbing or electricity) in the United States.
